Our Returns Policy
We have a 14 day money back return policy which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to send back the artwork for return. If you’d like to return your artwork, make sure you let us know within this time frame. Please pack your items in the original packaging. It is important to ship your return package using a traceable shipping method and email the shipping details (including tracking number) to hello@chaletartstore.com. Provided the artwork is still in the same condition, we will reimburse you for the artwork minus postage cost. We do not cover the cost of return postage. We will reimburse you as soon as the artwork is received by the artist. The amount owed will be returned to your original source of payment in the same currency and using the same exchange rate as your original order. Chalet Art Store is not responsible for undelivered returns.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
We cannot accept returns on commissions or artworks that have been framed by us.
We cannot accept returns on gift cards.
What if my artwork arrives damaged?
In the unlikely event that your artwork arrives with you damaged, please contact us as soon as you notice and send us clear photos of the damage. We would work with you and the artist to come to a decision whether to repair or return it for a refund. If you decide to return the damaged artwork, the same returns policy applies, except that we’d refund your original and return shipping costs too.
We don’t accept returns on any artworks that have been framed on demand, as each frame is bespoke-made for the individual artwork.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
Shipping
All shipping costs for unframed artworks are calculated and charged by the artist and subsidised by Chalet Art Store. Shipping prices can vary depending on the artwork type, size and weight, and your delivery address is in the world. Shipping charges due for your order are added at the checkout. All shipping prices are charged at cost price for tracked shipment with reputable courier services.
Shipping prices to France start at €10 for an artwork rolled in a tube.
If I buy several artworks, will they be delivered at the same time?
Each work is shipped by the artist so if the two or more works are by the same artist, they may be delivered at the same time (under normal circumstances). If they are by different artists, the delivery dates will be different. If you purchase multiple artworks from multiple artists the store will automatically charge for delivery from each artist but if you get in touch we may be able to reduce this fee for you.
