Mountain Warrior II (Light) by Steph Fonteyn is powerful ski lodge artwork that explores the dramatic presence of helicopters in the alpine environment. Created as a digital painting on an iPad, the piece offers a bold and contemporary interpretation of mountain aviation.
Unlike many of Fonteyn’s chairlift compositions, this artwork focuses entirely on helicopters navigating high mountain terrain. Suspended against a backdrop of layered colour and snow-covered peaks, the aircraft become striking visual elements within the landscape.
Steph Fonteyn is a British artist based in Switzerland whose work is deeply influenced by the visual culture of the Alps.
